SUPPLIER SELECTION

Based on other source and purchasing text book in chapter 8 that is supplier selection and evaluation, companies should select the best suppliers that is outsourcing to produce products of high quality to high demand from buyers and many ways for a company to choose a provider that is affordable based on supplier capabilities and not purely on the competitive process.

Reliability
should keep in mind if the supplier company let down, with automatic client companies have let you down. Reliability is very important not only because it is related to safety, but also because it has significant financial impacts. For many applications, reliability problems usually will not cause catastrophic failures. So it may not seem crucial and may be ignored. However, many reliability issues, although they may seem to be very trivial, do cause the customer to be unsatisfied. A low customer rating will affect sales and could result in a long-term financial crisis. If you look around, you will see that this has happened and is happening in many industries. Although cheap products can win the market temporarily, if the quality
and reliability do not meet customer expectations, the obtained market share will be lost.

Quality
The quality of your supplies needs to be consistent with your customers associate poor quality with you, not your suppliers. The nature of an organization's relationship with its suppliers has dramatically changed. Global outsourcing and co-development is on the rise as companies increase their focus on their core competencies. These new developments have created a need for a supplier quality management system to help organizations increase visibility into supplier quality, and improve supplier accountability.

Value for money
The lowest price is not always the best value for money. If you want reliability and quality from your suppliers, you'll have to decide how much you're willing to pay for your supplies and the balance you want to strike between cost, reliability, quality and service. So , as voters provider, you must work hard you should select suppliers that reduce costs and produce stable quality

Strong service and clear communication
You need your suppliers to deliver on time that is shorter lead time, or to be honest and give you plenty of warning if they can't. The best suppliers will want to talk with you regularly to find out what needs you have and how they can serve you better.

Financial security
It's always worth making sure your supplier has sufficiently strong cash flow to deliver what you want, when you need it. A credit check will help reassure you that they won't go out of business when you need them most. This is early step for a company to select suppliers

A partnership approach

A strong relationship will benefit both sides. You want your suppliers to acknowledge how important your business is to them, so they make every effort to provide the best service possible. And you're more likely to create this response by showing your supplier how important they are to your business.
